They did not follow the recommendations of two of their own Scientific Advisory Panels on classifying amalgam. In 2009, they posted a warning on their website that it should not be used in young children, pregnant women, or people with a known ???allergy??? to mercury. In 2010, after new Commissioner Hamburg came in, resigning her board seat on an amalgam manufacturer, the final ruling was published and the website warning was removed ??? and all of our jaws dropped.
